I’ve been reading a lot of Hellboy lately. I think it might have gotten in there somewhere. Love that blackness.

I was thinking about Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka the other day. That film was my favourite as a kid. The more I think about it now, the more I think it actually formed almost everything that I consider to be “me”.

The sketch started out ‘cos I wanted to play around with some more saturated colour ideas. They’re alot of fun!

First eva sketch for a comic I’m working on… Designs came out a bit bland and I’ve gone another way with it. Keep your eyes peeled for more!

The pheasant spotters guide. Around me in the fields these days, I have the pleasure of walking my dog and watching the pheasants fly. The verb “to fly” have never been more stretched. It’s more of a panicked dive into the air with about 4 secs of hang time. Poor loves.

Sometimes I sit down to draw and all that comes out is what I’ve watched last. Dynasties by David Attenborough was Monday. This sketch was Tuesday. Simple as.

The design lacks a little something, but when you’re only taking one shot at a sketch, you don’t always hit the best options available 😛
